Newport Beach police took a report of a grand theft with a $1,500 loss on Saturday in the 600 block of Heliotrope Avenue, according to a report. The theft occurred between 7:40 and 8 a.m., the report said.
Officers also took a report of a grand theft with a $4,000 loss in the 300 block of Poinsettia Avenue on Dec. 23. The theft occurred between 3:43 p.m. Dec. 22 and 8:15 a.m. Dec. 23. Offices took a report of a burglary from a motor vehicle on Dec. 23 in the 4800 block of Dorchester Road. The burglary occurred between 2 and 5 p.m. Dec. 22, and the loss was $2,000.
Police arrested a 21-year-old Newport Beach woman at 3:02 a.m. Sunday at Iris Avenue and East Coast Highway on suspicion of DUI; her bail was $2,500. Officers also arrested a 26-year-old Costa Mesa man at 10:54 p.m. Sunday at Ocean Boulevard and Orchid Avenue on a warrant; bail was $50,000.
Police also arrested a 61-year-old Newport Beach won at 4:16 p.m. Dec. 23 in the 2200 block of East Coast Highway on suspicion of disorderly conduct while intoxicated; bail was $500.
Police arrested a 42-year-old Burbank man at 10:04 p.m. Dec. 22 in the 100 block of Newport Center Drive on a misdemeanor warrant, and bail was $500.
